About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Information Technology to lead our IT department in Rwanda. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and technical expertise to ensure the effective use of technology in supporting our programs and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and direction to the IT team, ensuring that technology is used to support the achievement of our organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement IT strategies and plans that align with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
- Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.
- Ensure the security and integrity of our IT systems and data.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement technology solutions that support our programs and operations.
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and government officials.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and developments, and ensure that our IT systems and processes are aligned with best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably in a non-profit or humanitarian organization.
- Proven track record of success in leading IT teams and implementing technology solutions that support organizational goals and objectives.
- Strong technical skills, including experience with hardware, software, and network systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong focus on results and accountability.
- Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
- Ability to work in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Ability to travel frequently, with a strong focus on flexibility and adaptability.
