Job Summary:

The Head of Information Technology will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of World Vision Rwanda's information technology strategy, ensuring that the organization's technology infrastructure is secure, reliable, and efficient. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the organization's information technology strategy, ensuring alignment with World Vision's global IT standards
• Lead the IT team in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems
• Ensure the security and integrity of the organization's data and systems, implementing appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access or data breaches
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement technology solutions that support the organization's programs and operations
• Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with organizational priorities
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement
• Provide technical guidance and support to staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively use technology
• Collaborate with World Vision's global IT team to ensure alignment with global IT standards and best practices
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably in a non-profit or humanitarian organization
• Strong technical background, with expertise in areas such as network architecture, database management, and cybersecurity
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages
• Ability to travel within Rwanda and internationally, as required
