BPR Bank Rwanda PLC invites you to apply for our specialized 2-Year IT Graduate Trainee Program. This program is the cornerstone of our digital transformation strategy. We are investing in top ICT talent to secure, build, and support the next generation of banking systems in Rwanda. The IT Graduate Trainee Program is designed to fast-track your career by immersing you in critical areas of financial technology. You will gain hands-on, practical experience in a dynamic environment, receiving mentorship from senior IT professionals and deep technical training.
Successful candidates will complete structured rotations across the bank’s core technology units, including:
- IT Operations & Infrastructure: Provide first-line support, monitor system performance, and assist in maintaining network and application availability.
- Core Banking Systems: Support the implementation and enhancement of core banking systems (CBS) through upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Digital Channels Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support and improve digital banking initiatives (Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, APIs).
- Cybersecurity & Risk: Assist in vulnerability monitoring, contribute to cybersecurity awareness campaigns, and ensure compliance with IT security standards.
- Project Support: Support the implementation of various IT projects, including documentation, testing, and quality assurance.
Learning & Development Components
You will receive technical training in IT System Management, Core Banking Systems, Cybersecurity, and Digital Product Support, coupled with continuous hands-on mentorship and rotational performance assessments.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree (1st Class or Upper 2nd Class) in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Age: Below 25 years at the time of application.
- Interest: Strong, demonstrable interest in banking technology and digital transformation.
- Advantage: Basic knowledge of programming, databases, networks, or IT security is a plus.
- Commitment: Must commit to the full 2-year on-the-job training program.
