Maduka University is seeking a skilled and innovative Node.js Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services that support the university’s academic, administrative, and student management systems. The ideal candidate will play a key role in building secure, high-performance digital platforms that enhance the university’s technological ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js
- Design and implement RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications
- Integrate third-party services, payment gateways, and internal systems
- Collaborate with front-end developers, UI/UX designers, and database administrators
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Implement security and data protection measures
- Manage database systems (MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL)
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment processes
- Maintain documentation for technical specifications and system architecture
- Provide technical support and system upgrades as required

Eligibility
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 2–4 years experience as a Node.js Developer
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and the Node.js runtime environment
- Experience with Express.js or similar frameworks
- Knowledge of database technologies (MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Familiarity with Git version control systems
- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Preferred Competencies
- Experience developing educational or ERP systems
- Knowledge of microservices architecture
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices
- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker
