Job Description:
Kvinna till Kvinna is a Swedish development organization that works to promote women's rights and gender equality in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programme Officer to join our team in Kigali, Rwanda.
The Programme Officer will be responsible for implementing and managing our programmes in Rwanda, including project planning, budgeting, and monitoring and evaluation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in programme management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage programmes in Rwanda, including project planning, budgeting, and monitoring and evaluation
- Develop and maintain relationships with local partners, stakeholders, and government officials
- Conduct needs assessments, programme evaluations, and other research activities
- Prepare and submit reports to donors and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with other programme officers and staff to achieve programme goals
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Programme Manager
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. international development, gender studies, social sciences)
- At least 5 years of experience in programme management, preferably in the non-profit sector
- Strong background in programme planning, budgeting, and monitoring and evaluation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in English and Swedish (written and spoken)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong commitment to women's rights and gender equality
