Job Description:
Kvinnatillkvinna is a Swedish non-governmental organization that works to promote women's rights and empowerment in Rwanda. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programme Officer to join our team in Kigali, Rwanda.
The Programme Officer will be responsible for implementing and managing our programmes in Rwanda, including project planning, budgeting, and monitoring and evaluation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in programme management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage programmes in Rwanda, including project planning, budgeting, and monitoring and evaluation
- Develop and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and other NGOs
- Coordinate with our team in Sweden to ensure effective programme implementation and reporting
- Conduct needs assessments and programme evaluations to inform programme development and improvement
- Develop and manage programme budgets and ensure effective use of resources
- Collaborate with our communications team to develop and disseminate programme reports and other materials
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Programme Manager
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as international development, social sciences, or business administration
- At least 5 years of experience in programme management, preferably in the non-profit sector
- Strong background in programme planning, budgeting, and monitoring and evaluation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
- Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages
- Ability to travel frequently, both within Rwanda and internationally
