Refugees, women, and persons who reflect the diverse communities we serve are strongly encouraged to apply.</strong></p><p><u></u></p><p><u><strong>ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY & RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></u></p><p>Inkomoko is seeking a highly organized and solutions-oriented Legal Support Manager to support legal operations across multiple countries in East and Central Africa. The role will report & work closely with the General Counsel to coordinate legal processes, support country teams on legal and compliance matters, manage relationships with in-country legal advisors, and strengthen legal systems and documentation across the organization.</p><p>This role is ideal for a legal professional with strong operational coordination skills, experience working across multiple jurisdictions, and the ability to translate legal requirements into practical support for business teams.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>1. Legal Coordination and Country Support</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as the primary coordination point between country teams, external legal advisors, and the General Counsel.</li><li>Support country offices on routine legal, regulatory, labor, compliance, and operational matters.</li><li>Track legal issues, deadlines, filings, and ongoing legal actions across all countries.</li><li>Coordinate legal documentation and ensure timely follow-up on country legal requirements.</li><li>Support onboarding of new country operations, registrations, licenses, and renewals.</li></ul><p><strong>2. External Legal Counsel Management</strong></p><ul><li>Coordinate engagement with in-country legal advisors and law firms.</li><li>Support the review, tracking, and administration of external legal counsel deliverables and invoices.</li><li>Ensure timely escalation of legal risks and complex matters to the General Counsel.</li><li>Maintain updated contact databases and engagement records for legal partners across countries.</li></ul><p><strong>3. Contract and Documentation Management</strong></p><ul><li>Support drafting, review, formatting, and administration of contracts, agreements, MOUs, and legal correspondence.</li><li>Maintain centralized legal filing and contract management systems.</li><li>Ensure executed contracts and legal documents are properly archived and accessible.</li><li>Track contract renewals, expirations, and key legal obligations.</li></ul><p><strong>4. Compliance and Governance Support</strong></p><ul><li>Support organizational compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Coordinate periodic legal compliance reviews and document collection from country teams.</li><li>Support filing of corporate documents, board resolutions, registrations, and statutory submissions.</li><li>Monitor and organize updates on legal and regulatory developments affecting operations.</li></ul><p><strong>5. Legal Operations and Training</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and improve legal tracking systems, templates, and workflows.</li><li>Support legal awareness sessions and training for staff on key legal and compliance topics.</li><li>Prepare summaries, reports, and dashboards on legal matters and trends for leadership review.</li><li>Support implementation of legal policies, procedures, and operational guidance.</li></ul><p><strong>6. Dispute and Investigation Support</strong></p><ul><li>Coordinate documentation and case management related to disputes, investigations, labor matters, and claims.</li><li>Support evidence collection, document organization, and communication with external counsel.</li><li>Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive legal information.</li></ul>
