Job Vacancy Announcement Position: Senior Mechanic Company: Prime Trucking Services Africa Ltd a DP World company is seeking to hire a qualified and experienced Senior Mechanic Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in forklifts and trucks Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on all assigned equipment Perform advanced troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and software Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify faults before breakdowns occur Ensure all repairs are carried out in compliance with safety and manufacturer standards Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records Supervise and guide junior mechanics where necessary Recommend improvements to maintenance processes and equipment reliability Ensure proper use of tools, parts, and workshop resources Collaborate with operations team to minimize downtime of fleet assets Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering Professional certification in automotive/mechanical systems (added advantage) Minimum 5–8 years’ hands-on experience in forklift and heavy truck maintenance Strong experience in engine diagnostics, hydraulics, and electrical systems Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance software Key Competencies: Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills High attention to detail and problem-solving ability Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Strong leadership and mentoring skills Good communication and reporting skills Safety-conscious and disciplined approach to work
