Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at Browns Plantations Rwanda Tea Factory. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the factory, ensuring that all production targets are met, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the factory, including production planning, quality control, and inventory management.
  • Ensure that all production targets are met, and that the factory is running efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, and ensure that all employees are following safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including procurement, logistics, and marketing, to ensure that the factory is running smoothly.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure that the factory is meeting all regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that employees have the necessary skills to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Monitor and report on factory performance, including production levels, quality, and safety.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement and retention.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, operations management, or engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the tea industry.
  • Proven track record of improving production efficiency and quality.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda.
  • Valid driver's license.
